Make every page readable
Photograph documents on a flat surface in even light. Keep all four corners visible and avoid shadows, glare, fingers over text or a tilted camera. Check small lettering at normal viewing size before uploading. A complete PDF can be easier to follow for a multi-page document, but ask which format the specialist needs. Do not alter names, dates, stamps or the contents of a document to make it look cleaner.
Organize without oversharing
Use a short filename that describes the document and date without exposing unnecessary identifying numbers. Keep pages in order and separate old versions from the current copy. Add a note explaining what the file supports and what you want the specialist to check. Do not upload every personal record just in case: confirm the required list first. Identity-review documents belong in the dedicated review flow, not in an unrelated conversation.
Keep originals and confirm next steps
An uploaded copy may help a specialist understand a request but may not replace an original, certified copy, translation or signature required by another organization. Confirm those requirements with the relevant specialist before sending an original by post or making a trip. Keep your own organized copy and record what you shared. If a file is attached to a request, check its status before trying to remove it from your document list.
